The Evolution of Skyscrapers: From Historical Marvels to Modern Wonders

Skyscrapers are tall, multi-storied commercial buildings constructed using an iron and steel framework. Originally defined as buildings ranging from 10-20 floors, the term “skyscraper” now typically refers to buildings at least 492 feet tall due to advancements in construction techniques.   8. Flatiron Building (New York City): A steel-frame marvel and a National Historic Landmark since 1989.

Modern Skyscrapers
