FWO Urged to Conclude Work on Margalla Road
The Engineering Branch of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has recently stated, FWO Urged to Conclude Work on Margalla Road. In a letter sent to the FWO, which is responsible for the construction of Margalla Road from G.T. Road to D-12, the IDA emphasized the need to promptly finish. The installation of roadside guard railing, cat eyes, road signage, and some asphalt sprinkling.
CDA Needs Timely Completion
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has also joined the effort. By requesting the contractor to improve the overall quality of the road. The CDA specifically highlighted the importance of completing the signage, lane marking, and construction work in the last RD area.
Furthermore, the contractor has been urge to conclude the work on the Diwaya underpass approach roads, as well as the drain and sewerage works. It is essential to complete the construction of retaining walls, tourism and historical signage, and the cleaning of underground drains.
Margalla Project Overview
The Margalla project, spanning a total length of 10.4 km from G.T. Road to D-12, was completed and opened to the public two months ago. The road features three lanes on either side, providing improved connectivity and ease of transportation for residents and visitors. However, the installation of the guard railings along the road is still pending.
In addition to the completed section of Margalla road project, construction is currently underway on a 5 km road patch, extending from sector D-12 to E-11.
